Sakai Shoryu Japanese-Style Chinese Cleaver is forged using the three-layer hand forging method. The core steel is made from hard and sharp White #1 high carbon steel, sandwiched between stainless steel on both sides.
This technique encases the rust-prone White #1 steel within, effectively preventing rust. The cleaver is then hand-finished with the Hon-Kasumi sharpening technique, resulting in a premium Chinese cleaver.
