This product comes with a Magnolia wood Saya.
Crafted by Goh Umanosuke Yoshihiro in Sakai City, Osaka, Japan, the knife is made of 69 layers of folded Damascus stainless steel, sandwiched with a core steel of AUS10.
The knife features a mirror-polished surface, showcasing exquisite Damascus folding patterns, and boasts excellent hardness with a HRC 62-63, ensuring outstanding sharpness.
Yoshihiro, a renowned figure in Sakai's blade-making community, hails from a lineage rooted in the blacksmithing traditions that originated from Tanegashima.
Santoku is versatile and can be used for cutting meat, fish, and vegetables. Due to its less pointed design, the blade tip is less prone to breakage, enhancing safety. This knife has gained popularity quickly, especially in home kitchens.
Santoku typically has a wider blade compared to knives of the same size. This design provides more space for your fingers during use and offers ample support for the other hand when slicing, making it ideal for detailed tasks!
