Description

Nosyudo Mirror Tsuchime-Finish VG10 Hon-Kasumi Damascus Series

From Seki City, Gifu Prefecture — Japan’s sacred sword-making capital — comes a masterwork from the renowned Nosyudo, who blend ancient samurai-era forging techniques with modern culinary demands to create a knife series that exudes the true spirit of the samurai.

This petty features a mirror-polished Tsuchime finish, forged using a traditional Mino-style folded Damascus technique with a VG10 core.

It is hon-kasumi polished, resulting in a strong, finely tapered edge ideal for precision work. The handle is crafted from Pakkawood, known for its antimicrobial properties and natural feel, and comes paired with a sleek black lacquered magnolia wood Saya.

The overall design is finished in a bold and mysterious all-black aesthetic, reflecting the stoic elegance of the samurai tradition. The blade bears a hand-engraved signature by a certified Japanese sword smith — a mark of authenticity and master craftsmanship.

Blade Specifications:

  • Core Steel: VG-10 Stainless Steel
  • Hardness: HRC 61 (approx. 720 HV)
  • Saya: Black Lacquered Magnolia Wood
  • hand-engraved signature by Japanese sword smiths

Why Choose This Series?
This knife is forged using a multi-layered stainless Damascus steel method unique to the Mino tradition. The VG-10 core, enhanced with proprietary alloying elements, delivers exceptional durability and edge retention.

Thanks to its resilient construction, the blade resists rust and protects against carbide detachment. The result is a long-lasting, corrosion-resistant, razor-sharp knife designed for both professional and home kitchens.

How to Maintain Stainless Steel Knives

After use, simply wipe the knives dry to remove any moisture. Do not use a dishwasher to clean your knives. If you plan not to use the knives for an extended period, it's advisable to apply a thin layer of protective oil.

Ensure you use the knives correctly, as they are designed for specific functions such as slicing, chopping, or handling frozen foods. Avoid using them beyond their intended purpose, as this can lead to damage.
