此振短刀整體小巧，但刀身厚實，為典型的「鎧通」短刀。刀身雖鐫有「景光」之銘，然實為後人補鐫之後銘；經鑑定，本品實乃室町時代中期「宇多派」所作之短刀。隨刀附有黑漆塗合口短刀拵。
